OUR FAUX LEATHER COLLECTION INCLUDES VINYL (PVC), POLYURETHANE, AND REAL LEATHER-ENHANCED FAUX LEATHER OPTIONS. FOR EASE OF UNDERSTANDING THE LOOK/FEEL OF THESE FABRICS, MOST ARE LABELED "VINYL." HOWEVER, NOT ALL OF THEM ARE TECHNICALLY MADE OF POLYVINYL CHLORIDE (PVC). BELOW THE PRODUCT GRID, THERE IS AN EXPLANATION OF PVC COMPARED TO POLYURETHANE.
FAUX LEATHER: PVC (VINYL) vs. Polyurethane
We offer two types of faux leather, both of which are suitable for high-traffic residential and commercial spaces:
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) -- VINYL
Firm and structured, giving furniture a polished look
Extremely durable and resistant to scratches
Resists water, moisture, and stains, great for healthcare seating where frequent disinfecting with strong cleaners is required
Less flexible and less breathable than polyurethane, can feel slightly stiff
Easy to clean
Polyurethane (PU)
Soft and comfortable for everyday seating
Stretchable without cracking, retains shape over time
More eco-friendly than vinyl, with some options made with water-based finishes
Easy to clean but more vulnerable to long‑term moisture and some harsh cleaners than vinyl
Choosing Between Them:
Choose PVC for maximum durability, low maintenance, and high-traffic furniture
Choose PU for comfort, natural appearance, and a softer feel
POPULAR VINYLS IN OUR COLLECTION
We offer a range of vinyls for commercial and residential interiors, but four options stand out as best sellers in our collection:
Old West Vinyl: Composed of a polyurethane face with a recycled leather back, it has more character and depth than standard vinyls
Geronimo Vinyl: Features a pebble texture, with an even color across the surface
Apache Vinyl: Has a smooth, slightly shiny appearance that mimics the look of genuine leather
Wichita Vinyl: Features a melange, two-tone appearance and is exceptionally durable
