Has a great hand and sewed like a dream. Took a press well and made a beautiful blazer, Would recommend this to anyone who wants a great looking business suit.

Jewel-like shade of purple. Beautiful, drapey gabardine with a bit of sheen. A test piece hand-washed successfully; the finish washed off somewhat, so the fabric did not feel as "slick" as the unwashed version. Intended for a ladies' suit and was seeking a feminine, interesting color. Worth the price. Hope to buy more in other colors!

We have been looking for a wool gabardine for some time that is not too thin, affordable, and from somewhere in the US. This stuff checks all three boxes for us!!
